[PATCH 0 of 3] Respin of my convert patches

Hello,

Here is a respin of my previous patches. I addressed all
things that were spoted:
 - converter.convert() should take care of cleaning up
   (Alexis S. L. Carvalho)
 - read authormap file only if specified and don't rely
   so much on catching IOError
   (Brendan Cully)
 - Write the author map file only if option -A was used
   (Brendan Cully & Alexis S. L. Carvalho)
 - Take care of reading/writing the authormap file in text
   mode
   (Alexis S. L. Carvalho)
 - Help text mentionning the author map file format
   (Alexis S. L. Carvalho)
 - Try to explain why initializing src after dst might be
   good
   (Brendan Cully)

Applies well on crew's tree and matt's tree.
