I'm not sure this is worth doing. Personally, I like the fact that the
"internals" details are accessible from the main Mercurial wiki.
Certainly they aren't needed for the average user, but understanding
the internals a little helps users gain an accurate mental "model" of
how Mercurial works. Also, it may encourage users to contribute.

What benefit do you see from splitting?

Personally, I see mailing lists as different, so the reasons don't apply.

While I sympathise with Bryan's problem, I don't think it justifies a
wholesale restructuring of the wiki :-) And I'm not sure it will make
much difference to the spam issue - don't spammers use automated tools
so that the purpose of the wiki is unlikely to make a difference?
