Here is my reason: I was working on a patch that let users put realm,
domain, user, password in a config file so that you don't have to type
it every single time you perform an operation over http to a non-public
repo.

And it would be nice to put sensitive data like that in separate config
files. People often share config files (through various means), and this
would help reduce the chance of mistakenly sharing your account info.
