Exactly why I would want to offer just a couple of very limited 
operations, such as clone. You can do this over SSH as well, but it 
seems pretty awkward:

Of course for infrequent one-off activities like this a regular web 
interface would work just as well; I don't see a compelling need for 
integration into the client's hg tool.
