I found "bzr check" to be very slow. In my test, bzr needed 50 minutes to check its own code repo. A "hg verify" of the Mercurial repo was done in 17 seconds. Details in my post on the Bazaar list: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/bazaar/2008q1/036750.html
