[issue1292] could 'hg commit' show changeset number it just created?

New submission from dkonecny <david.konecny at sun.com>:

Here is my wish: it would be nice if 'hg commit' after its execution displayed
changeset number. Either always automatically or perhaps only if a command line
switch was used or perhaps with --verbose.

How I work is that after fixing a defect in our product I must append a hg
changeset number to our defect tracking database. At the moment I must run 'hg
out -l 1' after each commit. Thanks.
