[issue1595] Mercurial lacks good integration support for Visual Studio

New submission from Garen <garen.p at gmail.com>:

I see two separate efforts that are incomplete:

http://www.newsupaplex.pp.ru/hgscc_news_eng.html
http://sharesource.org/project/visualhg/wiki/

If this work could be more polished up, many folks could ditch their current
commercial VCS or even SVN, which has a good provider
(http://ankhsvn.open.collab.net/). This would also make an excellent GSoC
project, but unfortunately I didn't see it on the list. All the API docs for
doing this work are available from MS now, and the above mentioned links are
good starting points (including AnkhSVN) for implementing better support.

It should also be mentioned that this isn't specifically limited to Visual
Studio. Lots of other IDEs and tools can all pickup a local SCC/VSIP provider,
giving a developer support for their shiny new Mercurial DCVS for "free", but
alas until this exists they may not be able to use it at all.
