[issue1609] Let hg status work only on files in the current working directory

New submission from Paul Melis <paul at floorball-flamingos.nl>:

With mercurial 1.1.2 the help line with -v for the status command is "show
changed files in the working directory". I wish hg status *would* actually only
show status information for the current working directory. Instead, it shows
status for the whole repository (something mentioned at the beginning of the hg
st -h help text).

Advantages of only showing wd-local status:
* Less confusion over which files in the current w.d. were actually
touched/removed/added/etc.
* File locations can be easily copy/pasted. I find myself often wanting to see
what temporary files I have created in a directory and deciding which ones I no
longer need. With subversion I can easily do an "svn st" and then rm the
necessary files by simply copy/pasting the names of files I don't want. With the
current repo-wide status list this is much more work as I need to leave off any
prefix from the file paths that doesn't match the current working directory.
