It's still true.  But that particular patch does things in a different
way from the older test-convert-cvs* scripts.  The more recent ones
that Henrik Stuart and I have been writing, however, duplicate some of
the stuff I added with this patch.

IOW, it's a mess and getting messier.  I'm planning on submitting some
refactoring patches once all my pending test patches make it to crew.
I just wanted to get some pending patches out of my queue first.
