Hello all,

So last night the accepted students for this summer's GSoC were
announced. They are:

- Nicolas Dumazet, who will be working on improving inotify (mentored by Benoit)
- Vsevolod Solovyov, who will fix our rename inefficiency (mentored by Matt)
- Abderrahim Kitouni, who will work on git interop (mentored by Augie Fackler)
- Alejandro Santos, who will work on porting hg to py3k (mentored by
Stefan Rusek)

We're very excited about these projects, and we'll hope some good
stuff will come out of it for future versions of Mercurial. Thanks
also to the mentors who are taking the time to help out the students.

Of course, a bunch of students who proposed projects were not
accepted. Thanks to all of you for taking the time to write up a
proposal, and for the patches you may have provided us with in the
meantime. The proposals were generally of higher quality than last
year, which was very gratifying to see. It also made the selection
process (because we can only afford a limited number of proposals)
much harder. I hope students whose projects didn't get accepted will
continue to contribute. If interested, I can provide feedback on your
proposals in private (just email me).

Cheers,

Dirkjan
