[issue1621] configurable direction of slashes (/ vs \) in e.g. hg status and hg locate

On windows build, hg status (and hg locate) displays path in windows manner "\".
Actually, this is not consistent with other commands e.g. hg diff, hg grep.
Furthermore cygwin users have problem with this convention. Would it be possible
to have the direction of slashes in pathnames configurable to either "\" or "/".
