We have a web template in Savannah that links to the savannah's project 
page, see for example:

http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/stable

We are planning to add support for subrepos, and we have in fact added 
it for GNU Octave (manually). The problem was that I could not obtain 
the savannah's project name (octave) from the repo name (octave/stable) 
automatically.

May be it could be done some other way but I did not find how.

Any help really appreciated.
