Yeah, probably they are broken, but there are a lot of them. :-( For example,
when using COLUMNS ps will limit output to COLUMNS - that's pretty annoying. :-(

Of course I can create alias for hg, if you don't like this at all,
but this would work
only for system-wide hg. :-(
