I felt your patch was a bit complicated, so I pushed my own version of
your first patch (1c83938b6a8e). Your second patch (8e6019b16a7d) is
fine and you'll find it in crew now! Thanks for looking into this.

Everybody: please re-send all your patches for adding color support to
qrecord and whatnot -- I believe there were a couple of such patches
that got stalled because of this.
