branches up to the revisions in the current repository", i.e. what you
cloned up to in the case of "clone -r". In which case it's not a bug,
it's the only way a DVCS can possibly work. All it has is the current
repo. If you deliberately create a partial repo with "clone -r", then
of course hg only has partial information and will only show you
partial information.

P.S. mercurial-devel is not really the right list: whether you are
reporting an obvious bug or asking "is this a bug?", the user list is
