I don't like that idea -- it would make the translations contain
untranslated strings on purpose. As a translator I would want to reach
the 100% translated mark.

And the docstrings would look weird if they were ever used by some
automatic documentation tool (unless a space is used to "mark" the
strings... but a space is a bit too subtle here, I think).
