Works like a charm i could finally use the convert extension to process 
my old GNU arch projects :-)

Counting 5 Continuations and spanned over 3 years, only 489 commits.

I hope i can find some time to add my idea about scanning for patch 
merges so that more revisions would be caught by the history scanning 
process.
