that I recently sent out a set of Python replacements for the C
extensions used in Mercurial:

I hope they will go into a Mercurial 1.2 release. That should make
Mercurial match Bazaar on this point, so please update the PEP to
reflect that.

Also, could you please make a section in the PEP with the names and
email addresses of you and the other authors? It wasn't obvious how to
contact you and I had to searc for your name to find your address.
