This file is only special insofar as you might be tempted to open it
as its extension suggests it might be a source, then balk as soon as
its content shows up. ;)

That's already the case.

Perhaps. extslist.gen.py or something like that? Well, that's just a
name anyway, can always be easily changed if something better comes up.
