Actually, the german word is "Prüfsumme".

How about "commitest, erhält der neue Commit das Lesezeichen". Btw., I  
wonder if "commitest" should be written "committest".

I wouldn't like to translate "commit, pull, push" etc. as the german  
words would feel awkward:

"Bestätigen, Ziehen, Schieben" don't feel right for this.
