I agree. Here are some terms I found

repository - Projektarchiv
branch - Zweig/Verzweigung
commit - Version
to commit - übertragen (ins Archiv)
merge - zusammenführen

Some words seem unique to Mercurial. I havent't found translations in
git-gui or subversion

changeset - Änderungsmenge
changegroup - Änderungsgruppe
bundle - Bündel

I appreciate any proposals.
