[issue1573] Emit some small stats on commit by default

When commiting, it'd be nice to see how many file adds/removals/changes was
commited.

I accidentally commited/pushed the entire tree when I only want one file. I
didn't see it until push because commit displays nothing.

Something like:

X adds, Y removes, Z changes commited
