not using os.symlink possible?

Maemo is basically linux, and we don't have any specific problems
using mercurial there.

well, if you ignore the fact that on average python-linux doesn't have
a working https stack and the python modules for proxies and such are
on average broken.

but well, if you ignore networking and stuff beyond mercurial's
control, it works :). -- otherwise you just have to patch a couple of
things, it's a FAQ somewhere.

ps just as people capitalize Symbian, so too should Maemo be capitalized :).
