This should be fairly easy to find in the wiki.

Solution (1):

Starting at the home page at http://www.selenic.com/mercurial/wiki/Mercurial
there is a link to http://www.selenic.com/mercurial/wiki/DeveloperInfo
(under the heading "Further information").

That page (DeveloperInfo) has a heading "Mercurial Internals". The most
interesting links there for you are probably:

* MercurialApi - The public API for Mercurial
* Design - Mercurial's data structures and how it uses them.
* WhatGoesWhere - the project architecture

Solution (2):

Every page on the wiki shows a search box on the top right.
You can search page titles or full text with that.

Entering "design" in that box and clicking on the "Titles" button (to just
search the page titles) returns the "Design" page as top entry in the search
results.

BTW, the search is very fast
["Results 1 - 3 of 3 results out of about 945 pages. (0.02 seconds)"]
