This preserves original styles as possible.

Fixed. As we cannot know what font is available, it seems better
to specify fonts by generic name, except for headings.

Do you mean putting local copy of styles.css, mercurial-logo.png, etc.?
or just adding links to them?
We can do it by rst2html --template XXX.txt
