Sssssssssshhh!  The Python-Dev guys might hear you ... that's why
we're here -- to get away from that kind of "hg knows best" guessing.

Exactly, and that's what Python wants, no less and definitely no
more.<wink>

Oh, maybe you'd get bonus points for a command that lists all the
files and second-guesses .hg-eol with heuristics, but my understanding
is that we want all actually conversions to be specified explicitly.

The Mercurial default of course should be no conversion, but people
are going to want to change that default (typically to "** = native",
I expect).
