Hello :)

Sharing the patch Benoit and I have been working on.
This, in the end is a quite "thick" patch, tweaking a test,
and changing four parts:
  httprangereader, static-http opener, tags cache reader, and static-http repo.

It seems to me that the changeset as a whole is an unit, making sense by itself.
But if someone feels otherwise, I'm happy to split this in 4 small chunks. It's really not a lot of work :)
