a) This patch is wrong. I'd tell you why, but:

b) You've apparently completely ignored the multiple times I've now told
you not to work on this right now:

    Aug 7:
        We obviously can't take these patches if it makes verify of
        existing repos 50% slower.

    Aug 8:
        Argh. That case is not a priority! You need to focus on getting
        your patches merged, and as I've already said, that means not
        slowing down the non-parent delta path.

Now here we are on Aug 9, the suggested pencils down day, and you have
basically nothing I can merge. Please, send me a set of patches that
doesn't suck on verify WITH EXISTING REPOS. I recommend you go back and
read my emails as there are hints on how to do this. You should also
send your 1-6 over when you've fixed them as I've already deleted
everything else.
