I kept hitting bugs and did not get a lot done.

With Dan and Steve we talked about getting record machinery into core, extending existing commands with --interactive while deprecating the related ones brought by the extension. This will probably happen once record performs its patching and committing work with an in memory API, like the one already used in hgsubversion and bitbucket.
