[issue2048] not installing a PPC based OS X 10.5.8 + python 2.6.4

I tried to instal mercurial 1.4.3 for OS X 10.5.8 and get an error message. I 
have both versions of Python 2.5 and 2.6 installed on this PPC based Mac.

Is there any working around to get mercurial installed on this machine?
