[PATCH 0 of 4] issue2254

Hi,

This series contains 4 patches:

#1 fixes issue2254.
#2 improves the wrapping of commitctx() done by the keyword extension
#3 is unrelated, but adds a docstring to extensions.wrapcommand()
#4 is also unrelated, and probably shouldn't be applied

I wrote the last patch intending to use it in fixing issue2254, before
I looked at how the extensions actually did the wrapping. I provide it
here mainly for archival; the code might be useful, but as it's
completely untested, I can't vouch for whether it works or not ;)
