"simple sharing" and "sharing of a repository" are both bad.

I think this problem predates your version of the text, but I wanted to flag it.

how about:
"Start a basic HTTP server exclusively for sharing a single repository."

I'd also like to continue my campaign against _use_ of "usage".

"If you need to handle heavy load, authentication, SSL or other things
you should consider a real web server."
