I prefer "files". It is immediately obvious to me what a "files"
command would do.

Actually, I didn't realise this command existed. When looking through
"hg help" for useful commands, I skipped over "manifest", because it
sounded too technical.

I'm also a native English speaker, but I'm more familiar with the verb
form of "manifest". Examples provided by Google:
- Ray manifested signs of severe depression
- bad industrial relations are often manifested in disputes and strikes

I know of the noun form, but it doesn't spring to mind right away. In
fact, I would call a list of passengers a "passenger list", not a
manifest.
