[issue2646] SSL error: unknown message digest algorithm

I have an IIS https site with an enterprise signed certificate. When I add 
the root CA certificate to the cacerts.pem file and try to connect using 
Hg or TortoiseHg I get the followign error message:

SSL error: unknown message digest algorithm
