The installer in Mercurial-1.9-py2.7-macosx10.7.zip says:

"This is an OS X 10.7 version of Mercurial that depends on the default Python 
2.7 installation.

[...]

This package installs the hg executable in /usr/local/bin and the Mercurial 
files in /Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/mercurial"

This is wrong, because the Mercurial files are installed in 
/Library/Python/2.7/site-packages/mercurial (2.7, not 2.6).
