I do not experience the problem on my home computer, although I have experienced it on my office computer and two of my colleagues have confirmed that they have experienced the same problem. When I navigate to http://mercurial.selenic.com on my home computer, the compatibility view icon does not appear in my address bar.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 here. IE version is 9.0.8112.16421.

I just tried on the computer of my brother (Win7 x64 too). Looks the same there as I already described (I first had to figure out how to switch off compatibility view there, since there it at first didn't show me the "compatibility view" knob in the address bar).
