[issue2867] $HG var set incorrectly when executing shell aliases

Idan Kamara bugs at mercurial.selenic.com
Thu Jun 23 05:06:15 CDT 2011

New submission from Idan Kamara <idankk86 at gmail.com>:

$ which hg
/home/idan/.local/bin/hg

Executing a shell alias with any other hg:

~/dev/hg/default $ ./hg --config 'alias.foo=!echo $HG' foo
/home/idan/.local/bin/hg

Instead of echoing './hg'.

Problematic line is:
