[issue2990] Strange behaviour with "hg import --no-commit"

illusory bugs at mercurial.selenic.com
Thu Sep 8 09:12:14 CDT 2011

New submission from illusory <illusory2 at yahoo.co.uk>:

When importing multiple patches with "hg import --no-commit", Mercurial
prints "applied to working directory" for every line but the first. This
seems like a bug to me.

Example:

c:\t>hg version
Mercurial Distributed SCM (version 1.9.2)
(see http://mercurial.selenic.com for more information)

c:\t>hg init

c:\t>echo test>foo

c:\t>hg ci -A -m "Initial import."
adding foo

c:\t>hg qnew 1

c:\t>echo new line>>foo

c:\t>hg qref

c:\t>hg qnew 2

c:\t>echo another new line>>foo

c:\t>hg qref

c:\t>hg qnew 3

c:\t>echo yet another line>>foo

c:\t>hg qref

c:\t>hg qpop -a
popping 3
popping 2
popping 1
patch queue now empty

c:\t>hg import --no-commit .hg\patches\1 .hg\patches\2 .hg\patches\3
applying .hg\patches\1
applying .hg\patches\2
applied to working directory
applying .hg\patches\3
applied to working directory
