hgk fails when called via hg -R UNC-path view

hi,

hgk fails with mercurial-1.9.2 here when used with a UNC path via:
hg -R \\server.net\someshare$\directory view

mercurial seems to be ticklish here :) is it the tcl version used or
the hgk tcl code which is responsible for this?
