          Priority: normal
            Bug ID: 3588
                CC: mercurial-devel at selenic.com
          Assignee: bugzilla at selenic.com
Summary: *** failed to import extension mercurial_keyring: No
                    module named httprepo
          Severity: bug
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux
          Reporter: peter at de.maeyer.net
          Hardware: PC
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 2.3
         Component: Mercurial
           Product: Mercurial

Ever since I pulled in the Ubuntu update to Mercurial 2.3, I get an error on
the console upon every command I type:

*** failed to import extension mercurial_keyring: No module named httprepo

I am indeed using the mercurial_keyring extension.

The functional impact is that I need to type my password (which used to be
automatic), but once I do that everything seems to be working (apart from the
annoying message itself).

I also use MercurialEclipse, which is also broken.

This is regression introduced since 2.3. Before that, I was on 2.2.3 where I
had no problems.

I've tried to reinstall the extension, to no avail:

sudo easy_install keyring
sudo easy_install mercurial_keyring
