And some of my pending patches (waiting to be ACK'ed by someone?) would

(a) reduce the number of test files
(b) enable more tests for Windows

The first one should make running the testsuite a bit faster (something
which Matt regularly complains about), and the second increases test
coverage, where Mads' #if feature helped a lot (thanks to Mads again).
