[issue3426] Optimize sub-repo checkout by not cloning unused branches

I am not sure, but it looks like that Mercurial sub-repo is checked out 
completely (i.e. with all branches) on main repo update.

I would suggest only checking out the exact branch where sub-repo revision 
points to. This will reduce the amount of data to transfer on remote clone.
