          Priority: normal
            Bug ID: 3700
                CC: mercurial-devel at selenic.com
          Assignee: bugzilla at selenic.com
Summary: hg commit always returns 0
          Severity: bug
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Windows
          Reporter: dave.piche at cassidiancommunications.com
          Hardware: PC
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 2.4
         Component: Mercurial
           Product: Mercurial

It is explicitly stated in the hg commit help that the command "Returns 0 on
success, 1 if nothing changed." However, the hg commit always returns 0 even if
there is no changes in the repository in which it runs.

If this is the wanted behavior, the hg commit documentation should be updated.
See also Bug #2341 which is related.
