This seems over the top to me, since that whitelist file is huge. I'd
prefer to deal with a little bit of brokenness temporarily until we arrive
at a reasonable union of what's in /usr/share/dict/words on platforms where
people actually run spell.py (presumably just Linux and maybe OS X).
