Not sure if this is a bug with the documentation
(http://www.selenic.com/mercurial/hgrc.5.html) or a bug with Mercurial, but hg
pull doesn't use the hgrc file "preferuncompressed" option.

Should it?
Why not?

If the option to clone from a repository over LAN or fast WAN is sped up by
using uncompressed stream, and a pull can also be used to retrieve a remote
repository, why not provide this option for the pull command too?
