Hey everyone, I have submitted the following application for mentoring
GSoC 2013:

    http://mercurial.selenic.com/wiki/SummerOfCode/Application2013

I have little problem here that I don't know much about past
involvement, which I need to answer for a particular question. mpm has
graciously compiled the following summary:

    2006
    2007
    2008
     mentors: mpm, parren, asak, djc
students: astratto - rebase (pass), germain - thg ??
    2009
     mentors: benoit, brodie, mpm
     students: nicdumz - inotify (pass)
    2010
     mentors: brodie, benoit, mpm
students: trovao - py3k (pass), vsh - shallow cloning (pass?),
               in3xes - parent delta (fail?)
    2011
     mentors: brodie, benoit, mpm
students: idank - command server (pass), yunlee - help (fail)
    2012
    2013

    (snapshot from http://titanpad.com/mercurial-gsoc-history )

Can anyone else please fill in the blanks above?

The application deadline is this Friday at 17:00 UTC, but I'm gonna be
AFK from Thursday until Wednesday next week. Augie, can you please use
this information and whatever other data we can obtain to complete the
missing question? Our application on Melange is here, but I think it's
only visible to you and me:

Finally, the ideas page is looking good but it still needs a bit more
work!

As much as possible, the following points need to be added to
each idea:

    * What skills should a student have in order to work on it?

    * How difficult is it?

    * Who's the person to go to with questions about it? This doesn't
necessarily have to be person mentoring it, and a mentor for the
project doesn't have to have all the answers. That's what we
      have a community for.

Google will announce by the end of next week if hg can be a mentoring
org for 2013 or not. Let's work towards it!
