Cloning a revision with hidden revisions makes those revisions not hidden (at least on Windows)

Right, although sometimes discussing the problem on the mailing list
can help narrow down the problem a bit and it may bring the problem to
the attention of the right person faster.

Anyway, I just reported the issue on the bugtracker as issue #3935
