Mercurial Website Customization

Hello,

I am currently attempting to customize the Mercurial Web Site to have specific information displayed about each repository.  Online I have found various information on how to customize the theme but have struggled locating info related to displaying additional information on the Mercurial Web Site (for example would like information regarding the latest tip to be displayed for each repo, etc.).  I'm preparing to create a python script that would perform the steps necessary to gather the needed information on the repos, but I'm struggling on how I would have this information to be displayed on the site for each repository.

My initial research has led me to believe that I'll need to modify the hgweb.config file or each repositories hgrc file in addition to creating a customize theme in order to display the additional information.  I'd like to know you all aware of any additional resources/sites that may assist in this effort?
