"hg convert" should update changesets in commit messages because TortoiseHg and
other software convert them to links. Failing to update such changesets causes
a "loss of data".

Matt posted an excellent patch two years ago which does exactly that but (as
far as I can tell) this was never followed-up on:

Please review and merge his patch.
