Before somebody who actually know what s/he's talking about
kicks and drops more hints about the project, let me post here
a couple of links about unicode in general, that I used myself to learn
how the thing works.

* Joel Spolky's (stackoverflow guy) blog post:
http://www.joelonsoftware.com/articles/Unicode.html
* British programmer/comedian Tom Scott on unicode:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MijmeoH9LT4
* Python' s official "unicode howto":
https://docs.python.org/2/howto/unicode.html
* couple of blog posts by Armin Ronacher:
     http://lucumr.pocoo.org/2013/7/2/the-updated-guide-to-unicode/
     http://lucumr.pocoo.org/2014/1/5/unicode-in-2-and-3/
Those are about both python 2 and python 3. Keep in mind that
Mercurial is in python 2,
but the posts are interesting anyway.

Cheers,
GGhh
